The given line graphs represent the admission of international students and local students to Australian universities over a decade from 2001 to 2010.
The total number of international students was 20.000 in 2001 and increased significantly till the year 2007 reached 60.000 students. This number keeps growing until 80.000 marks in 2010. While commencing enrollment was 20.000 student in 2001, then increased slightly in 2006 reached 20.000, and keep growing until 40.000 in 2009 and after that trend became quite stable by 2010.
On the other hand, the total number of local students was 40.000 in 2001 and keep growing until 2007 with a mark of 60.000, and after that the trend quite stable until 2010. In contrast, by commencing enrollment of a local student in 2001 with approximately less than 20.000, the trend grow in 2002 with 20.000, then decreased until 2006 and up again by until reach the high trend in 2008 around 21000 and the last 2010 mark 20.000.
Overall, the enrolments of overseas students increased consistently over time but it became stable by the end. Furthermore, there was a directly proportional relationship between the total number of students enrolled and enrollments commenced. In contrast, the number of local students enrolled in Australian Universities fluctuated over time and it didn’t increase much over the given time period.
